Hero's Welcome
A pub located at the former home of The Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans in Canada Unit #298, also known as the Taurus Club. Our aim with Hero's Welcome is to create a community focused environment that attempts to bring the energy of a post-war Canadian Veterans Club into a modern setting. Our mandate is to create a welcoming and inclusive space that pays tribute to Veterans and helps to raise funds Veterans causes through events. The legacies and stories of the brave people who fought for Canada will be felt throughout the space through photos, stories, memorabilia and traditions such as asking patrons to remove their hats when entering the bar. We aim to carry on many traditions of the Taurus Club that made it such an important part of this community for nearly 70 years such as karaoke, bingo and meat draws.
